When using the chat your visitors expect you to answer instantly, so it is essential that you can be notified when a new message arrives. Depending on your browser, we will either display a desktop notification (for recent browsers) or a simple pop-up.

1/ Desktop notifications
For browsers supporting desktop notifications in html5, the visual signal will be visible even if your browser is not the active window (while you are using another software). When reveiving a new chat conversation, a preview of the message content is displayed :
This type of visual signal is supported by the following browsers:
- Chrome (version 31 and later)
- Firefox (version 35 and later)
- Safari (version 7.1 and later)
- Opera (version 27 and later)
Note: To enable this type of notification, agents will need to allow iAdvize to show desktop notifications. The browser will display the following messages on the discussion panel:

2/ Configuring pop-up permission (for browsers not supporting desktop notifications)
It is important to make sure your browser actually allows iAdvize to display pop-ups. Here is how to configure the necessary exceptions on different browsers.
2.1/ For Google Chrome
- In the Google Chrome settings page, click on "Show Advanced Settings":
- In the "Privacy" section, click on the "Content Settings" button. Then find the "Pop-ups" portion, click on "Manage exceptions":
- In the next window, simply add [*.]iadvize.com to the list of exceptions (1), do not forget to press the "Done" button (2).
2.2/ For Internet Explorer 10
- Open the Internet Explorer menu, and select "Internet Options":
- In the "Internet Options" window, click on the "Privacy" tab (1), and in the "Pop-up blocker" section click "Settings" (2):
- In the next window, simply add the url *.iadvize.com to the allowed sites list:
2.3/ For Mozilla Firefox
- Open the Firefox menu (1), and select "Options" (2):
- Once the "Options" window is open, click on the "Content" tab (3), then click the "Exceptions" button (4):
- In the next window, simply add the url www.iadvize.com and ha.iadvize.com, then click "Allow". These addresses will appear in the list of allowed sites:
